Core Services
Manuscript Evaluation ($27 per 1000 words)
This is my most thorough editing package for novelists. I'll read your manuscript multiple times, then send you a detailed report that indicates everything you need to know about how you can elevate your story. The report, which is approximately 15 pages in length, covers any problems I discover with the premise, structure, plot, pacing, conflict/resolution, world-building, character development, tone, and style.
This edit includes a 60-minute Zoom call, plus email support along the way.
Comics Script Editing ($20 per page)
For comic scripts, I've found that two rounds of editing ensure the script is ready for an artist. My first edit is a story review. I'll look for problems with your pacing, plot and structure, tension and conflict/resolution, setting, and character development. In other words, I'll help you elevate the story so it's engaging and consistent from start to finish.
After you revise the script, I'll perform my second review, which is a detailed panel-by-panel review. With this edit, I'll make sure you're capturing the right moment in each frame, your descriptions are on point, the page turns are mini-cliffhangers, and the dialogue sounds natural.
Book Coaching ($80 per hour)
With coaching, my goal is to help you finish your novel or comic script while improving your writing skills along the way. The more we work together, the more improvements you'll see in your storytelling, writing, style, and tone.
My coaching process has proven to work. Every Sunday night, you'll send me new pages, and I'll edit them on Monday. After you have had time to review my comments, we will meet for 60 minutes to discuss my feedback. We'll also discuss next steps, brainstorm new ideas, and talk about overcoming any roadblocks you're experiencing. I typically spend 1-3 hours per week with you, depending on how many pages you send every week.

Premium Beta Reading ($6 per 1000 words)
Tired of beta readers who provide vague or basic feedback about your novels? Or maybe you're tired of comments that focus on personal preferences rather than feedback that aligns with your intentions or genre standards? If so, my premium beta reading is for you. As a dedicated editor, I offer comprehensive feedback that goes beyond the surface to help you refine your story, characters, and plot.
My goal with my premium beta reading package is to provide chapter-by-chapter insights from a reader's perspective. I want to help you understand how your story will be perceived by your audience. The detailed feedback I provide touches on structure, character development, conflict/resolution, pacing, and thematic elements. As with all of my services, I use an encouraging approach that focuses on strengths as well as areas for improvement.
This review includes a 60-minute Zoom call to ensure you have everything you need to elevate your manuscript.
Pitch Package Review ($250)
If your goal is traditional publication, you need to create a pitch package that excites agents and publishers. With this edit, I'll help you make your pitch as strong as possible. To get you there, I'll review your query letter, synopsis, and sample pages.
I'll provide three edits for your query letter and synopsis. The first looks at what you say and how you say it. The second is a strong line edit to help tighten your words and make them as engaging as possible. The third review is a thorough proofread to catch any last-minute mistakes or hiccups.
I'll also review the first ten pages of your novel or comic book. And, of course, I'm available to answer any questions you have about the edit or the submission process.
60-Minute Zoom Consultation ($100)
This is your chance to ask a professional fiction editor all your questions about your writing career. For this consultation, I'll read up to 1,000 words of your current story, or up to 8 pages of your comic script. We can discuss my thoughts on your current story or you can ask about the pitch process, self-publishing, Kickstarter, or anything else you're curious about.
